In the United States this is a term used by schools dedicated to teaching English to non-native speakers. ESL stands for English as a Second Language.
Before you arrive to Los Angeles, you will take an online assessment and when you arrive we will do a verbal assessment to place you in the appropriate level.
Our program usually lasts 10 weeks but you are welcome to stay with us up to 12 weeks at a time.
Our program is designed so that you interact with Antioch students and staff as well as your classmates. We do our best to make sure every student opens up and makes new friends.

Each student is different depending on how motivated and dedicated they are to learning English. On average, it takes about 4 to 6 weeks to have a basic conversation if you have no level of prior English.

Los Angeles is a big city but we are located in the heart of all the action. Our school is located next to a bus stop that can take you anywhere you need to go. We also recommend getting around on a bicycle since we are surrounded with wonderful scenic views.

You must be 18 or older unless you our enrolling for our Summer/Winter Programs which is 14 and older. You must send a copy of your valid passport with a Waiver or B1/B2 visitor visa. Complete the full Enroll Now tab
Once you have registered for a class you will receive an invoice that will contain a link to Flywire, our payment system. Flywire allows people in many countries to pay in their own currency at local banks, track their payments, and offers some of the best exchange rates available.
Yes. You may make partial payments for your class via Flywire. Your class must be paid in full 2 weeks prior to its start date. If you decide not to attend, all payments, except for the non-refundable registration fee of $100, will be refunded to you.
